Friendly fruit punch (a mocktail)

Friendly fruit punch

Yes this is the third drink ‘recipe’ in a row.  I promise to stop after this one (for a while at least).  I’m visiting relatives next week so there will be no baking, and I’m preparing a glut of upcoming posts in advance.  I’m all of a dither.  Also, after yesterday’s grumpy cocktail I thought I should lighten the mood with the other side of the coin.  The vast majority of people who know I’ve gone gluten and lactose-free have bent over backwards to accommodate my changed diet.  They ask how I’m feeling, they buy funny ingredients and bake especially for me, they spend far too long (often with squirmy toddlers in tow) scouring the ingredients on food packets so they purchase something safe for me.  So today, in honour of them, here is my friendly fruit punch.  It’s non-alcoholic so the youngsters can have it too (water it down a bit for the littlest ones), and refreshing enough that the adults will enjoy it.  Yesterday’s cocktail is not your friend if you have too many.  This mocktail, however, will not bite you the day after and if anything will only improve certain bits of your internal workings what with the cranberry juice.  That’s a real friend, one that encourages you to stay upright and improves your health.  Enjoy irresponsibly with friends!
